Read the reviews and decided to try this pub last night. Unfortunately when we arrived, very early evening, we ordered drinks first and said we would be eating there if that's okay. The Landlord(?), a pleasant enough chap, told us that they no longer do...More

We went for a special lunch, 15 adults and three children. We had ordered our meals in advance to make things easier, particularly as one of the party needed a special diet. The menu gave a good selection of simple pub food and the quality...More

Stopped here today and had a really lovely lunch. The chips are proper home-made soft ones, which in my opinion are the best. Fish-finger sandwich is superb. Service is friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning.

My friend took me this place. Great place to hang out with the locals. Owners and patrons are fun. Especially on Thursday night, you must get this pub and take the challenge --- I won!

We called this pub out of the blue and requested an oven baked bake-potato with butter, cheese and beans. They didn't have the right potatoes because it was summer but they said just come and by the time you get here we will have fixed...More

As far as I know, no. However, outside the establishment, there are plenty of spaces for cars and trucks

Description
We are a small local very British village pub, Welford's best kept secret! We offer a warm friendly welcome plus great beers, snacks and sandwiches, or perhaps you'd like to try anything from our main menu or specials board, such as a juicy sirloin steak or delicious horseshoe gammon, not forgetting our famous fresh beer battered fish and homemade chips. We are situated off the main road through Welford on Avon, approximately five miles from Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon, (we are tucked away next door to the butchers). The famous Welford maypole, the tallest in England, is 100 yards away. We are a great pit stop to rest weary legs if you are walking the Cotswold Way, or discovering the myriad of paths that meander through this beautiful village. In the winter we offer roaring log fires and great banter, in the summer our garden is a secluded haven.
