This has got to be the ONE pub in Rugby that to have NOT visited will be haunting you forever. Go alone - or with your buddies - you'll still be drawn in to the well being of the place. A GREAT Rugby Football supportive pub (no soccer here!!!) and freindly to a tee.

This was recommended on the fact the the Inn has 10 draught beers and a large selection of Belgium beers, The inn has televisions should you want to waatch sport but also has what could be classsed as quite sections. We had sandwiches on that was a home made fish finger sandwich on door stopper white bread with home made... More

First stop on our night out in July and what a fab pub this is. It was so busy. A mind boggling selection of spirits and gins. Quite a wait to get served due to the sheer numbers in there, not the fault of staffing or anything like that. Really liked it in here. For a night out, get down... More

One of my favourite pubs, not just in Rugby, but in England. This place always serves a huge array of sensibly priced beers served by knowledgable barstaff but also has a fantastic pub atmosphere and is interstingly decorated. Very popular with locals - it's always fairly busy.

I came here for a meal whilst visiting family after a wedding, the Sunday menu offers a good selection of food at very good quality, offers a very good selection of drinks and staff polite.

A fantastic pub, well kept beers and ciders, gin menu and ... The best Sunday lunch in rugby, consistently. We have been here often! Visited today, and regular chef James wasn't on duty, but there was no change in the standard of the service and the excellence of the lunch. Locally sourced produce, prepared fresh and good, but not excessive... More

in these days of bland corporate pubs with little or no character hail The Merchants what some would call "a grown up pub"

Description
Good old-fashioned British Pub serving the best traditional ales & ciders, continental beers, and delicious food. A must for any Rugby fan, this place is a mecca for locals looking to watch live matches. A fascinating pub with great locals, stacks of history, fantastic beer & food served by wonderful staff. What more could you ask for? - Oh and it's a stones-throw from where the game was invented!
