4 of us had a wonderful meal here last night. All the dishes were very fresh, the service was fast, friendly and efficient and the wine excellent value. The vegetarian among us was more than satisfied and we all found the portions generous. The setting is lovely - clean and bright, not too fussy. We sat upstairs and did find... More

We booked Cafe Vin Cinq for our wedding breakfast as we wanted a small 'do' but quality. From our first phone call with Anna, we were assured we had made the right choice. Nothing was a problem, she thought of everything we would need to make our day special - it's the little touches which count. We pre-ordered from the... More

Absolutely loved it- I had the seafood bouillabaisse and it was delicious. The portions were very generous so didn't have a pudding.

"The cheese platter" (our evening snack board) - was presented with a wow factor, with grapes and salad. It was delicious, with many different cheeses to sample and devour. There would have been plenty for 4/5 people. We sat outside in the evening and the service for our cocktails was excellent.

Was taken out for hospitality drinks and food after a training course in rugby. Decore is nice and good menu. We all had the fillet steak but being a french restaurant i was concerned my steak would come very underdone to what i asked for (medium well). Came perfectly cooked, slightly pink in the middle, juicy and probably the best... More

Another excellent meal. A group of 30 went to Cafe Vin Cinq for our end of term outing. Food was excellent, as was the service. Very good value for money.

Visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday evening. It was busy and bustling and certainly had a French feel. After cocktails, we dived into our starters of Scallops and Langoustine Thermidor and the Charcuterie Board for 1. My friend loved the seafood, commenting on the rich mustardy sauce. The board was fab too. Our mains of belly pork... More

We dined here for our wedding anniversary and ordered the charcuterie for 2 to start followed by rump steaks. Both courses were excellent. The starter was a lovely selection of cured meats, olives, sour dough and leaves and the steaks were simply superb - cooked perfectly as we had ordered. The service was perfect too, attentive but not obtrusive. A... More
