This is a review for a delivered takeaway

It's a bit average. This was my first time trying this place for a takeaway after reading generally good reviews here and elsewhere. The benchmark for me for takeaway in Nuneaton or Bedworth is the Indian Lounge and as yet nothing has really bettered it overall...however their delivery is often terrible (up to 2 hours). These guys delivered piping hot food about 20 minutes before the advised time so full marks there especially considering it was a Friday night. Ordered just for myself so I'll just comment on what I had.... You can often judge an Indian just by how good (or not) their onion bhajis are. Here they would have actually been quite superb if they hadn't put so much salt in them and that spoilt it for me. As for the king prawn butterfly starter...pretty tasteless and a rip at £4.95. For main I had mushroom rice (very nice) and chicken tikka dhansak which was disappointingly light on the chicken so mostly sauce which was tasty enough but a bit runny and overall nothing to write home about really. Not sure I'd give them another go in a hurry but I won't rule it out based on this first experience.

lamb was too dry

Went in before attending a gig across the road. we told him it had to be quick and he said "no problem". it took 25 minutes to be served. in the meantime they did 5 takeaway orders. lamb tikka was way too dry. Wife's saag and paneer was decent but not wow. Service was nice can't fault the nice guy but we missed the beginning of the gig...

Excellent food

A group of 10 of us visited on a Friday evening. Restaurant quite small but nice . Staff very welcoming . Menu really varied with lots of choice. We all had different starters an main courses.... everything was great. My only critism was it did take quite a while. But all the food was well cooked tasty an good portions. Staff very friendly an helpful. We will all return.... excellent food.

I am absolutely astounded at this ‘restaurant’. I go in there regularly for a takeaway as it has always been lovely with great owners. Tonight I went in and ordered a takeaway for 1. Last week I paid £8.50 or slightly less cash as they now don’t take card and only serve takeaway. They cooked it and a guy in a dirty apron brought it out. When it was in front of me the guy who didn’t speak English very well went to the menu and told me the pilau rice was £3.10 and the curry was now £8. When I questioned why it had gone up so much since last week he admitted that the takeaway now has different owners in the week to the weekend. I paid and left…. Only £10 though because I misunderstood what he was saying at the time and thought that was a ridiculous price for a curry for one anyway. The curry itself wasn’t good either. The meat was tough (what there was of it) and tasted odd…and the sauce tasted watered down. There were only three chillis in the whole thing. Not impressed and won’t eat there again.

Absolutely rude delivery driver. We are in the middle of a pandemic and food is delivered without gloves or masks. Delivery driver leaves his car in the middle of a junction and when asked to move it he verbally abused me in my own car only stopping when realising my son was in the passenger seat. No social distancing was undertaken by this driver as he was literally 6 inches away not 6 feet! Food was inedible and thrown away.. would not recommend.

Best Indian in Nuneaton

I’ve never ordered from here before and I have to say the food was delicious, the best we’ve had from any Indian takeaway in Nuneaton. We will definitely be ordering from here again. If you want good tasty Indian food, try here you will not be disappointed.

Ordered through Deliveroo as my usual takeaway wasn’t delivering. I’ve always been disappointed when ordering from random Indians but desperate times haha, However I am glad I chose this one. Delivery arrived early, driver was lovely and efficient. The food was piping hot and was really tasty! I certainly wasn’t disappointed this time!

We ordered a takeaway through Uber Eats. Delivery was earlier than time given. Driver was really friendly and polite. Food was first class. Large portions and piping hot, will definitely order again. Thank you Masalaz - amazing service

I ordered our Friday night

I ordered our Friday night takeaway, during this lockdown period via the just eat app. I was not disappointed. The food came on time, first point. Secondly, poppadoms hot and fresh. The dishes were very well prepared and as described. I have to add many takeaways i have experienced are generally too oily, but this was not. Superb Masalaz, we will be returning soon!

Worst food ever

Ordered a take away as a treat for the family and the food was inedible.... Madras tasted sour and the meat was fatty and grisly... Nan bread was greasy... Most of order ended up in the bin

terrible customer service

ordered a curry, normally an hour wait over 2 hours later and after phoning but no answer multiple times. I would never recommend them, unreliable, poor customer service, the place doesn't deserve to be in business with this atrocious customer service!!

Rude and terrible service

Ordered for delivery. When it finally turned up, all three meals were wrong. One of the delivered curries was a chicken tikka masala madras! Anyone ever heard of that, let alone ordered it? Phoned them back to tell them the delivery was completely wrong, but the extremely rude guy just point blank refused to accept anything was wrong and slammed the phone down, twice! I'd strongly suggest you pick another takeaway to place your order with.

Very disappointed

Had take away ( always use these when in the area). Absolute rubbish. Waited over an hour for delivery, which we were charged for, got only 150gms of fried mushrooms, no taste £4 , phoned up to complain and all they said was that's our portions, since when, they used to be good on quality and quantity not any more.Naan bread stodgie and poppadoms stale. Won't be going here again. Shame.

Avoid service is terrible only good as a takeaway

We arrived at 6.30 on a Sunday evening and we were the only people in the restaurant. We ordered our drinks and 8 papadoms. Then waited and waited then ordered our starters and mains and another drink. Then waited and waited by 7.45 we still had been served our mains still the only table in restaurant. The mains were brought out on a trolley and put at the side of our table then the just eat computer went off and he stopped serving us to go to computer. When he came back he reheated food then started serving items were missing off order and the butter chicken had a block of butter plonked on the top this was the last straw. When we said we wanted to pay for what we had eaten and leave the waited seemed confused as the delays had been caused by us ordering 8 papadoms and we had not stated when ordering that we didn't want breaks between courses we will not be using again
