Recommended by a friend and added to the favourites list. Whilst a little out of the way, certainly worth the effort. Great setting and great food. Gastro pub with a good menu range.

Old chunky tables, dim lights & some very nice shabby style item's adorning the room The staff were very pleasant & showed us to our table The menu was pleasing &... More

I last visited this establishment several years ago under different management. I have to say on this visit that I found the whole experience very good. Ambience is very good, service is quick and professional and the food excellent. The kitchen were very helpful in catering for my wife's gluten free diet. We will be back!

Only called in for a quick pint, it was an open mic evening and have to say the singing and music was first class to the extent that we stayed till the end - well done singers and musicians - a refreshing change to see people enjoying themselves. Staff and drinks were spot on - will call in again if... More

Description
The Horse and Jockey is a privately owned business in the village of Congerstone, a short distance from the centre of Market Bosworth. Set in pretty countryside, alongside the Ashby canal network and Ivanhoe cycle path is very popular with tourists throughout the summer. The business boasts a popular seperate restaurant, a spacious room that is both informal and relaxing. The menu offerings have emphasis on flavours, freshness and good value and what we have created is a modern approach to traditional favourites. We also have a seperate bar and lounge area where you can enjoy an open fire, cask ales, a varied wine menu and great selection of malt whiskies. In addition to the restaurant we have a bar menu offering a simpler, lighter approach to eating with us but without compromising our cooking principles. In the summer you can enjoy the weather using our large garden area or maybe on the terrace. We also host regular live music which compliments the style of the business. More details can be found on our website and we regularly post updates to Facebook We hope to see you soon...
