£70 for four pints two soft drinks a bottle of wine two chips and humours with black carcinogenic pitta. The pitta was exchanged but should never of been sent to the table. Bar staff tried to get me to settle someone else's tab too.

I visited The Canbury Arms for the very first time on a Friday for lunch with a friend and her baby. I thought I was being rather greedy ordering the Canbury Pie, mash and veg for lunch. When it arrived, I didn't think I would be able to finish the beast of a pie, but I am glad I did!... More

Many thanks for your review, the pies are indeed rather sizeable but good on you for taking one on at lunch time and eating the lot, pies are there to be eaten! Please come back for some more another time, our desserts are pretty spectacular too. Best wishes Charlotte and Mike More

Cosy spacious , real fires, friendly atmosphere, small patio area and benches at front. Good, home made tasty food using tasty ingredients in this local gastro pub. Also very handy for Kingston station although tucked out of sight from main roads.

Ordered the fish and chips but was very disappointed. The batter was about the worst I've tasted. It was heavy stodgy tasteless and almost glutinous. I found lumps of it amongst the fish that I was eating. Come on Canbury - fish and chips should be a basic well cooked staple in a restaurant/pub. The food at Canbury seems to... More

Thanks for your review, I am sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy our fish and chips. We have not had any other complaints recently regarding this dish, I regret that you found it so unpleasant. We did have an unfortunate few months where we had problems with our kitchen teams but since November Michael Mannion our new head chef... More

I was at Burns night a couple of days ago and have never tasted such amazing haggis! Oh and the clootlie (?) dumplings for dessert were to die for! I understand there is an amazing new chef on board working his magic in the kitchen And we were entertained with An ode to the Haggis by a famous Scotsman called... More

The most delicious meal....I had never eaten haggis before and it was a very good introduction! We were on a table of six and we all had very good food. Thank you Charlotte and Michael! I will be back for sure as well worth the detour from SW12!

Being Scottish I love celebrating Burns Night and for 8 years I've been coming here for my Haggis! It's always been good but last night I had the best Haggis, neeps & tatties and the Skirlie was the most amazing I have ever tasted!!! I was on a table of 6 and we were all trying each other's food! As someone that frequents this pub quite often, the recent changes to the Canbury Arms kitchen brigade are a welcome improvement, offering a daily changing menu that includes new dishes each time I visit, along with the classic Canbury staples: an amazing fully loaded burger which hits the spot every time; and a pie that is almost a full meal...
