Had to ask a local to find this wonderful pub. It has everything for a quiet Sunday lunch or to take a large group (looked like a large baptism group enjoying themselves with a huge garden and play area fir children). The food was modern and filling and the beers local.

Beautiful traditional English pub with a fantastic selection of lovely local ales. The food is outstanding, I went for the homemade beef burger and my girlfriend went for the chicken and ham pie which we both enjoyed very much. We then had a look at the amazing homemade puddings which they have on display in a glass cabinet, I had... More

We are originally from Farnham and chose this pub for a family get together on 25th Feb. I cannot fault the food at all but didn't feel overly welcome. The waitering seemed rushed and impersonal. We weren't told earlier to choose desserts from the counter so waited quite a while thinking someone would take orders. When I went to pay the... More

Have been coming to the Bat and Ball for several years for family get togethers, initially at the suggestion of an elderly aunt who is a long term Farnham resident who rated the pub very highly compared with other local pubs. Sadly, Cynthia no longer gets out (not surprising at 100) but we've continued to meet there. This includes a... More

Lovely Sunday evening meal enjoyed by family of four adults. We started with breads and olives, then went onto venison stew, liver and hogsback beer battered scampi were all enjoyed by all. Then onto dessert which is always excellent and always enjoyed here with a decent choice always available. I had a chocolate and cherry trifle, yum yum yum!

Disappointing menu lacking variety. Food ok but average and a bit heavy with no cooked vegetarian options - the focus is on meat. The only option is to have a larger starter. Service good and waitresses efficient and friendly.

Down a few narrow lanes, and you get to the Bat and Ball. We have been before, many years ago, and I have good memories. We were meeting a family member, visiting from America. Four of us sat down, nice table, drinks and food order taken. The starter of bread, olive oil and balsamic had some of the crustiest crust,... More

Christmas lunch was excellent! The trout starter looked like a sweet desert but was savoury. Very clever! Main had plenty of turkey The access to the car park looks daunting - one way down and up but actually isn't difficult - friendly staff and free house A hidden gem! Recommended 😎

Went here with friends for lunch. Comfortable pub, welcomes dogs! I had beef cheeks with pearl barley, was lovely and our friends had chicken and ham pie. Good selection of food, good portions, good value and all very tasty. Would eat here again.

Your first time here you might find us a little difficult to find as the pub is down an un-adopted lane in the bottom of a valley, backing on to the Bourne stream. "The Bat" is a traditional country/village pub retaining the charm and atmosphere of what a pub should be. An open fire, panelled walls, nooks and crannies, hops hanging from the old oak beams, cricketing memorabilia and six shining brass hand pumps for ale. Outside there is a covered patio area with grape vines overhead and a large garden with flower borders, a children’s play structure and plenty of seating. There is also a large car park.We offer a good and wholesome selection of light snacks, main meals and a mouth watering selection of homemade puddings and desserts. All our food is cooked and prepared in house by our team.Crossing the generations ,the pub is a meeting place for all and you will be sure of a genuine welcome
