I have lived in Farnham for 15 years, but had never visited the Nelson Arms, a pub situated in Castle Street, undoubtedly the most prestigious street in Farnham's town centre. I called in one lunch time after returning from a long weekend in Somerset for a light lunch with my wife. The staff were welcoming and the beer and atmosphere... More

Found this gem of a pub in the Good Beer Guide and was ideally situated for a family get together lunch. Food was plentiful and delicious; the nut roast vegan so ideal for our daughter. The home made bread (oils & bread starter) was really tasty. And a great range of real ale too. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

We were actually driving towards another pub in Ewshot and thought, let's just park here and try this place instead I recall it being recommended by a colleague anyways It's not the biggest of pubs, but it doesn't need to be A welcoming and cozy traditional pub with the low wooden beamed ceiling Service was quick and friendly and they... Lovely friendly staff, small but good choice of real ales and Sunday lunch was good fare with generous portions and all served hot and fresh. Just check you've got your roast potatoes - I only realised mine were missing half way through my meal! It gets busy so don't expect fast service, but it suited our leisurely pace. Definitely be... Friday finished off the night best pint of Timothy Taylors landlords bitter by a long way. In fact all the beers are great. Pick a time when it's quiet and you will want to stay the night.

We have been to the Nelson Arms three times previously and our experiences were pretty good and the food was always reasonably good and that’s why we chose to go there for my daughter’s birthday dinner a couple of nights ago, 10th Nov 2016. I must say the standard of the service and food was less than sub-standard, almost abysmal.... More

This pub is really attractive, serving great good and economical prices. However, it attracts the well healed families with toddlers of 1 to 3 years go age that scream the place down! We're all supposed to love them apparently, but I think it's not appropriate for a pub and so we will NOT be returning. I'm not speaking of 1... More

Had a great vegetarian Sunday Roast here recently. The pub itself is great with excellent staff and the food and atmosphere is always first class. Can't fault it.

Popped in for a few pints whilst in Farnham for the day. Lovely traditional pub with a log fire, decent selection of ales and decent looking menu.
