Average - bit pricey for the quality of food

I've had take-away fish and chips which beat what was served to me hands-down, which is a shame, especially considering it was £15 for cod and chips. The quality of the fish was very poor, not 100% how fresh it was or whether it had been pre-cooked and left on a hot plate, but it tasted very... read more

If you want to eat somewhere in farnham and actually receive 5 star service (which is what I expect alongside the 5 star food!!!!) then go to loch fyne farnham. How first impressions can be wrong. Our baby faced blonde haired waitress greeted us and I did not have high expectations, mainly due to her age (or lack of age!).... More

How glad we are that we were not put off by the bad reviews. We nearly cancelled our booking but we both fancied Oysters!! We were greeted and taken to our table even though we were a bit early. The place was buzzing!! The service was excellent The Oysters and Dover sole were just lovely. All in all a super... More

We accompanied our friends yesterday evening to this restaurant, on entering we had to wait for a while before any member of staff greeted us and book us in, as we had arrived twenty minutes early we where told that our table was not ready for us. At this we had to ask for service behind the bar in order... More

Had a lovely evening with family on Burns Night. Lovely atmosphere, warm and inviting, with the added bonus of a piper. The set menu was very good value. No complaints. Will be back.

Awful meal last Saturday. Hardly any fish on the plate in most of our selection...have they gone broke? 3 tiny slices of a scallop is not "pan fried scallops" in a starter, Mussels served without a dish for the shells or without enquiring if we wanted bread, fish pie with an empty shell on top & mush underneath, cod Malabar... We were looking forward to a evening of good Scottish food and Burns Night atmosphere. The service was quite slow and it took quite a time before we were asked for our drinks order. Two of us had a starter of mussels and were quite shocked to find that many of mussel shells had not opened (not a good sign)... More

It was our first visit to Loch Fyne in Farnham and we had a super evening. The piper was playing when we arrived for the Burns Night event and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Greeted on arrival by the Manager Claire and had a drink in the bar before being seated. The restaurant was busy but the staff were... More

We arrived around 6 pm on a Saturday evening to be greeted by an empty bar and one solitary couple sitting at a table having a drink. After waiting a good five minutes a member of staff whom we later discovered was the manager appeared and took us to our table in the restaurant that was about 80% empty. There... More
