We held a celebration for over 80+ people on Thursday 18th November. The pub was buzzing, atmosphere great, the buffet food we pre-ordered was very good, came out hot and of a high standard; Staff very welcoming and efficient. We reserved the large room at...the back but due to numbers spilled over in to the main bar area, this was not a problem and added to the overall ambiance. Took our own music playlist on an IPod which the pub were more than happy to accommodate. Feedback from all our guests has been really positive, such that they are all asking to hold a similar event at The Barley Mow in the summer, where the excellent garden will come into play as well. It was my first visit to the pub and I will definitely make a point of frequenting the pub again, whether in a large group or with a few friends / family. A real hidden gem in the backstreets of Epsom. I can highly recommend.More

It was a pleasure having you all here and look...More
The food was incredible, no cheap sausages or burgers. It was all served hot, and everyone who came was full of praise for the food.
We were unlucky with the weather, but despite the rain there were numerous places to sit out if the rain,...both inside and out.
I would thoroughly recommend for a large group function.More
I love this pub anyway and feel that it is the best in Epsom, particularly in the summer with the lovely garden, for sport, or cosy gatherings. My friends and I host our book club there. Last weekend, I hosted a gathering for some local...friends and their children. Phil and his staff exceeded all expectations. The food was awesome and the ambience was fabulous. This pub is great for all seasons, all ocasions, good bar selection and very nice food.More

big group of us visited before the refurb over a month ago and had lunch - food was OK. visited after the refurb and the food was very bad. supper greasy, all meats including chicken tasted old, hard and deep fried. poor quality of all...dishes we had . pub looks great after the refurb, very nice outside area but oh boy chef should be sacked. I would be embarrassed to send dishes like that from the kitchen. have some pride. one of us also found a small piece of plastic in the sandwich , sadly staff only apologised but didn't offer bill reduction or even a complimentary drink. staff not attentive at all, dishes were not picked up for over 3 hours.. and the place was dead. shame, place has got a potential but will not survive if the food doesn't improve.More

Hadn't been in for a while due to health reasons but arranged to meet friends visiting from overseas.
As ever, a warm welcome and a great selection of drinks. We sat in the lovely garden area as it was a nice sunny afternoon.
The Mow...is very wheelchair friendly so was the ideal place to meet up.More

Thank you for your lovely review. The garden is great to sit in on a nice sunny day. Hope to see you again soon
Visited last week, took my family there as one of our sons was heading back to Australia. Table booked for 7 inside, as none available outside. Luckily one became available & we were switched to outside in the lovely garden.
Ordered food on one number....My husband and I waited and waited for ours. We asked to be told the tarragon chicken take longer to cook. My husbands fish and chips came out, 10 minutes after the other 3 fish and chips were served, and eventually mine!!
Yes it was delicious, firstly when taking the order we should have been told, secondly don't start cooking the others.
I had to eat mine when everyone else had finished! No apology given.
Wasn't my night as the female clearing glassed firstly tried to take our number before we had eaten and they tried to take my G&T, why would you take a half full glass?More
