About
Named after Henry VIII, the all day restaurant serves traditional British dishes as well as European cuisine. Owner Reza Amini says: "It's important that everyone does what they can to save the planet, so I wanted to create a sustainable restaurant. This means that not only will we use local ingredients, but we will include many sustainable features such as using rainwater to flush the lavatories." The restaurant's interior walls are made from reclaimed timber from Farnham, Surrey; the menus are printed on recycled paper; wines will come from Surrey vineyards and all light fittings will be energy-saving LEDs. "Our fish will come from sustainable fisheries in Britain certified by the Marine Stewardship

We were a party of 4 on a Saturday lunchtime. The menu had something for everyone and was served promptly by friendly staff. £20 per head for 2 courses and some drinks seems like pretty good value and we’d recommend it. Music just a little...too poppy and loud for us though.More

On arrival, my friend was spoken to very abruptly regarding not wearing a mask, she was only at the door and wanting to ask if we could sit outside. We ordered 3 different sandwiches and they only got 1 order correct. I had to start...mine whilst waiting for their correct order to arrive . When they did arrive, bearing in mind they were toasted didnt come with any cutlery or serviettes or anything accommpanied with it them on the side. Customer care needs improvement and served with a smile would be nice. Dont think we shall return in the future.More

Nice to be back in Hampton Court and discover this lovely place! Tasty food, friendly service and a reassuring adherence to the covid-19 precautionary measures. We were encouraged to to try their best-seller Henry’s Burger and we certainly didn’t regret it! Well done, guys! Not...easy to keep going in these tough timesMore

I visited last week and besides being disappointed in our meal there was absolutely NO consideration of 'social distancing' NO staff with any form of PPE. I have visited a few pubs and restaurants locally and have been so pleased with their consideration and what...has been put in place - e.g sanitiser on tables. Tables were in exactly the same places as before COVID, serving staff had no PPE and had no concern about touching anything. We were seated close to the kitchen and could see everything going on - no gloves, no masks absolutely nothing. They also didn't even take contact details on entry - I was appalled and if they have no concern for their customers then I have no concern whether they survive this crisis!More

We went there intending to have a lovely breakfast. Well we waited ages for our food and when it did come it was absolutely awful. 3 of us had Blueberry pancakes they were rock hard, you had to saw through them and stone cold ....I had Quinoa patty and eggs and it was cold and poached eggs were overdone. We complained to the manager who was very condescending. We changed it to Henry’s Breakfast’French toast’ sandwich. That was WORSE it was doorstop bread and not even toasted properly, we were given the crusts of the loaf for one of them and the other was brown bread. And barley any fillings inside. Again the manager was so rude. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAFEMore

Hi Hannah, I came over to your table and explained that Pancakes are served warm topped with fruit of forest compote which obviously is not a hot sauce. I took the plates away and offered to change the dishes. I am not sure where you...More

A friend suggested meeting at another cafe along this very busy gastro road opposite Hampton Court, we couldn't get a table there so went into Henry's Kitchen. We were not that distanced from a table of 4 guys and noticed the staff in the very...small kitchen were not wearing gloves and were using hands to fill the plates. Why didn't we walk out I hear you ask? I think it was because we hadn't seen our friends for a long time and we were hungry, we were even more hungry after an hour when our food eventually arrived, (how long does it take to make a chicken salad swimming in Balsamic )? At least the food was half price. Not a good attempt at lockdawn easing Henry, we wont be back!More

Hi, We reduced the number of chefs in the kitchen to a maximum of two in order to comply with social distancing rules. Therefore our chefs need to cover hot and cold section simultaneously which means they can not wear gloves as they touch hot...More

Terrible service to start with....I thought the food might make up for it but that turned up and it looked like it it had been made by a 4 year old with cheap rubbish ingredients. Your kind of white Hovis & Heinz style slapped on...a plate.More

Nice healthy juices, great burger. Would be better if the lamb tangine was actually served in a tangine and had more meat. It was delicious, but if one pays for meat, it would be great to have it there in more noticeable proportions:). The carrot...cake was rather small. Not bad, but nothing distinctive about it. Ice-cream - basic at a not so basic price. The service was very good. Polite and attentive. Atmosphere and decor had a nice touch about them, too.More

I went to Henry's Kitchen last Saturday with 2 other friends to celebrate one of my friend's birthday. Such a shame we chose this place. One of my friend's ordered a breakfast dish called: "Henry's Breakfast", which is a ham and cheese sandwich dipped in...egg and pan fried. We were expecting a sandwich, of course, but not the one we got. It was a normal sandwich we could have made at home, for less than £ 2. The dish was £ 8,25 at the restaurant. We called the waitress to speak to her about it, but we didn't have the intention not to pay for it, just wanted to tell them so they could maybe improve the dish for a next customer. It was a constructive criticism. She apologized and soon after the manager came to speak to us about it. He asked us what happened and we again, politely told him our disappointment with the dish. Instead of understanding and apologizing for what happened (something I do with my customers, as I also have a business), he rudely started saying the price was normal, as the area was expensive, and saying he wasn't going to remove the amount from the bill. I politely again said we weren't asking for him to remove the sandwich from the bill, but just wanted to tell them we weren't happy with the dish (we expected them to be thankful for the feedback). The manager continue to talk and speak over me and always very defensive and annoyed. We ended up leaving the restaurant , paying a lot of money for a very average food and not being treated well as customers. I don't recommend going to this restaurant.More

Hi, As we have an open plan kitchen and do full cooking we do not allow dogs inside but there is an outside seating area which you can use with your dog.
