A favourite for Sunday lunch but equally great for dinner. Friendly environment complemented by excellent quality food at reasonable prices - try the Tribute on tap or one of the many guest beers. Kids welcomed and kids menu, dogs welcomed but no menu for them!!

What a wonderful location to enjoy a drink or meal, at the end of a quiet country lane beside a church from 1080 A.D. You can enjoy a pint sitting at a picnic table which overlooks the church yard. It is hard to believe that this idyllic place exists just three miles from Gatwick.

We were staying at the nearby Trumbles and decided to go for a short stroll into Charlwood for an evening meal. The Half Moon was a casual, relaxed setting and we enjoyed excellent quality food and friendly non-intrusive service. Highly recommended.

Tiny, local, traditional Pub with only locals. But the food was worthy of a top chef. Onion rings for a starter, light crispy batter and sweet onions, piping hot. Me, Bangers & Mash, my wife the fish & chips. Both were large portion, perfectly prepared. The fish was exceptional. But the Sticky Toffee Pudding was amazing! Served hot, with caramel... More

Often eat hear when staying locally overnight before flying out of Gatwick. Its a quaint old english pub in the village which is off the main street so you need to find out where it is beforehand or you may miss it. The restaurant is always busy which is a good sign and the food and service is of a... More

If you're flying from Gatwick,or,as in our case, staying in one of the airport hotels, and you don't fancy eating laminated food then the detour to the Half Moon is well worth while. OK it's not a posh restaurant or a pretentious gastropub, but it's a good traditional pub that served an excellent pint of Doom Bar & very acceptable pub grub.Certainly... More

We had been meaning to visit the Half Moon for ages, ever since we received a recommendation from a friend, so when we stayed overnight at an airport hotel before a long-haul flight we jumped at the chance. The Pub being only a couple of miles from Gatwick is very easy to access by taxi, a quaint country pub, frequented... More

Great local pub, in a lovely setting. Good food, nice décor, open fire in the winter. Occasional music nights. Local ales.
