Beautiful place for upmarket lunch. Would definitely recommend the chicken & ham pie it was delicious. Prices are a little steep, the fruit purée/soda drink at £4 wasn't worth it. Our waiter mark was friendly & professional. Look forward to next visit

This must be the quickest review I've done so far as its about my visit today (15th Feb) I called for lunch and was greeted by very friendly waiters and at a quiet time for diners. After being given the menu I waited so long without anyone approaching me for the first time I had to seek out someone to... More

We often use this venue, and it is always brilliant. Vicki is wonderful, cheerful and chatty and efficient, ready to deal with our foibles & allergies with care & consideration.Staffordshire's best.

My wife and I went here for a wedding anniversary meal. From the moment we entered the building until the moment we left, the service was superb. We were met by very polite and mannered staff and guided straight to our table....even though the restaurant was busy. The food we ordered was just fantastic and the staff could not have... More

Greedy chain - they cannot cope with the number of customers they are trying to serve. Last few visits have got progressively worse. Slow service, warm white wine, bland - warm food.... just uninspiring. I give this one a wide berth these days

Some of the dishes are far better than others would reccomend the belly pork and if that was a average of their dishes would have awarded five stars. Had other dishes that were average to the point I was pissed off at not just ordering takeaway at home. In brief, some good dishes but a chain gastro pub offering some... More

Our third visit to The Wayfarer and we had a convivial evening. Towards the end of our meal Regan, who normally works on events and is a friend of one of our party, popped over to say hello and highly recommended the hot cookie dough dessert. If you have a sweet tooth then this is the one for you! Only... More

As a regular Wayfarer visitor, I regret to say that my last 2 visits have been disappointing. Visit 1 - January Lunch: Joint starter lovely. Both main meals were incorrect and although they were replaced in a timely manner and were of a good standard, there was no apology from the waitress and no escalation to the management, as requested.... We stopped here on the off chance. We were very impressed with the whole dining experience. The food we chose was a veggie platter to share, I have never had such a variety of tasty food on one platter before. The young waiting staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, all smiles and really helpful. I would definitely... More
