All way very good Friendly and good value Staff friendly, service second to none It a must if your a local or visiting Exmoor. Situated in the Brendon hills over looking the Bristol Channel. The only down side is it can be cold if your children want to play on the climbing frames!

We went to the Ralegh's Cross Inn on Sunday to celebrate Mothers Day, this is a really busy restaurant that catered for about 500 customers. We were sat in the top section and had an excellent carvery, we had meat choices of Beef, Pork, Lamb and Chicken, the portions served were very generous; there was also plenty of good vegetables... We walked up from Somerset Ralph and has a great late lunch of lamb chops. Although they finished serving and locked up we stayed for a couple of hours on our own and dried out our wet boots in the hearth of the wood burner while warmed up. Very nice people.

A friend recommended Raleghs cross so we tried it this evening. Despite how busy it was the food and service was not affected it was excellent. I had the tomahawk steak, it was the biggest and probably best steak I have ever had. Anyone looking for a good meal and nice atmosphere this is the place to go.

Visited today. Was looking forward to lunch, really Dissapointed with the quality of the food and the bad service of the staff. The scampi was raw in the middle, after returning it to the kitchen it came back cremated but still uncooked in the centre as it had been deep fried too rapidly! The waiter did apologise but we could... More

Thank you for bringing these issues under my attention, firstly and foremost I would like to apologise for ruining your day, at Raleghs Cross Inn, This is not our usual standard, I can only assure you that I will deal with the respective staff who worked on the day. Again, I can only apologise, it sounded like two simple meals,... More

We wanted somewhere we could go and my friends could bring their dogs too. On booking table was told the only dog friendly tables left were smaller than we needed for party of 7 - but no problem we could have a table for 3 and one for 4. On arrival the tables they allocated were in the bar area... More

Visited here for Sunday lunch. This is a nice setting in the summer but can be a pretty bleak place in the winter. However, the pub itself has a good old world atmosphere to it and the staff are pleasant and friendly. We had the carvery which was fairly good value. There wasn't a lot of choice but what was... A good selection for the carvery, always busy. We always have good service and plenty of food. If ordering from menu and carvery keep a check on the carvery queue as sometimes this can get quite long. We ended up eating separately.
