Interesting menu but when the food arrived most was lacking flavour. Poor quality and tough steak with over cooked chips, definitely NOT aged. The duck dish looked particularly unappetising and lacking vegetables. Nice enough staff but everything ordered (even drinks) took an age to arrive....More

Wow what a meal. Excellent from beginning to the end. Ignore the bad reviews go and enjoy a wonderful meal and surroundings. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious! Having initially read the other reviews we arrived with some trepidation. However, this was soon forgotten. The selection of Gins in the bar was impressive, a good start! The menu was varied and interesting and, most importantly, using very good quality local produce which...More

We had been told that this was the better of the pubs in the area, and sure, it's better than The Unicorn, but certainly in our experience was not the best. We both ordered steak, medium, and when mine came out, not only was it...More

Group of friends having lunch on Saturday' very attractive pub. First impressions do count. We ordered most of the menu and were not disappointed, everything looked fantastic and my greedy duck was so colourful and tasty. Service was very good, right mix of being attentive...More

Visited on Sunday afternoon. Chose a cod in a stew for £19. For the price this high dish was far from perfection. The quality of a fish itself was good, fresh and meaty, but stew lacked thickness and richness in flavour, also it could do...More

Good food. The service seemed a bit disorganised. Our waitress was pretty miserable and forgot a few things. Good menu though but not as good as the prices would indicate.

Group of six on a Monday evening when the restaurant was very quiet. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful but I can't vouch for the service when it is busier. We each had mains and deserts with a bottle of wine for the table...More

Sunday lunch - three small slices of wafer thin beef, three small leathery roast potatoes, a few shreds of barely warm cabbage, half a carrot and some swede piled on top of each other with very dark Yorkshire pudding and thin gravy. For £7.50 at...More

Popped in for a coffee mid-morning and back for lunch as well; coffee delicious – quite fruity. Returning after for a pizza and glass: beware the chillies are hot but the class of chardonnay cool and refreshing. Staff smile a lot and service is fine...More

Description
The kitchen team are in all day and producing snacks as well as 3 course meals. You can eat anywhere you like and there is a wide selection of hot food available throughout the day. Children are also very welcome and we do a small menu for them or can offer cut down versions off the main menu. The menu is fresh, simple, local and special. Working with some exceptional local suppliers, the team’s aim is to demonstrate just how good West Country food can be.
