This place is a gem. The quality of the food is amazing for the price you pay - can't go wrong. Recently I had 3 courses and struggled by the end to finish but couldn't resist the Eton mess (which was nearly as big as me). Portion sizes are great - I opted for my main to be of a... More

Called last minute as passing well impressed. Quite big portions but always the option to decline potatoes ! Pleasant menu choices and specials board- nice fish options. I opted for Cajun Salmon with roasted veg very tasty nicely cooked. Hubby had chicken supreme with mushroom risotto packed full of flavour. First visit but not the last.

Everything you would expect. Large portions. Not wowing, but ok. Some things are home made. These are clearly the best.

Called in for quick bite on way home, huge choice on menu and all the specials,we had ham and eggs and the burger,it was fine, but not great, why don't these pubs make their own chips ??why frozen??would make all the difference and maybe if the choice was reduced the food might be that bit better??disappointing...

We decided to stop for lunch at the Queens Head after a fascinating visit to the Ironworks Centre, remembering good food from a number of visits some time ago, I was interested to find out if anything had changed. There was no need to have worried, the food was indeed very good and excellent value from the Lunch time special... More

My husband and I popped in here on a whim after taking our 5 month old out for the morning. It was busy but staff were friendly and accommodating, and found us a table with buggy room! The menu was tantalising, and I could have ordered everything on it! I had a grilled sandwich and my husband had the mussels... More
