We went here for a meal on Valentine's evening. The food was nice but nothing exceptional and the service was very slow indeed even though there were not many people dining that evening. We are not impatient people but we had slowly sipped our whole bottle of wine by the time our food arrived.

I was on the Floor all evening from our first party booking of 16 at Six pm and checked on all diners and drinkers on what was - from what I saw and our takings say - a busy Valentines Night. I am so sorry that you felt the service was slow - it was paced to allow couples to... More

We arrived and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. We walked through the entrance and it just felt friendly. There were a few parties but we were still seated straight away and after ordering the food came and it was delicious. We are on a bit and they made us feel welcome. Will definitely be going back again

A few friends and I went out for Sunday lunch. I really am not a fan of going out for Sunday lunch prefering to cook my own but I have been won over. The lunch was outstanding as was the service. The gravy was so obviously made with all the meat juices and with love! I could not even contemplate... More

It's a bit out of the way down country lanes but well worth the journey. Very pleasent staff. When we arrived we were shown to a table and our order taken promptly. There was only myself and my husband eating at the time but the food took 40 mins to be served. Well worth the wait cause the food was... More

Driven past the end of this road many times and chugged past on a narrow boat. Tonight we took the plunge. A fascinating building, with a small but well chosen menu. Well prepared and good size portions. Would love to visit again in the summer.

Situated out of town, well worth the drive. We were a party of four. We received a genuinely warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff. The drink selection is excellent. We were all very impressed with out food, 2 x ribs with extras, a liver and onions and prawn pasta. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were attentive... More
