A super, traditional pub, unspoilt with plenty of character, a great atmosphere and super beer that went down a treat after a nice after lunch walk.

Stopped in the lovely village for a coffee on way to the Wirral with our young puppy , unable to go into the lovely Copper Kettle with the puppy we tried The George & Dragon Inn. So glad we did , everyone made us and our puppy welcome. We had an excellent Brandy and a very nice coffee for me... More

The George and Dragon is a real English pub with a small restaurant area at the rear, this pub is a must for real ale drinkers with traditional Sunday lunch well worth a try, great pub atmosphere that makes it hard to leave so make sure you have a designated driver. Go on give it a go you won't regret... More

Very old, interesting Pub. Refreshing to feel that we were entering a time warp and not a plastic mock up.. Dogs are allowed in the Bar. We had previously booked and were shown straight into the Restaurant area - fortunately, we had this to ourselves for most of the meal as it was very small and would have been claustrophobic... After a busy day at The Edge nearby we had a very enjoyable lunch here. Very low ceilings, nice atmosphere, oldy worldy feel. Soup and sandwich very nice, would go again.

Went to the George & Dragon for Sunday lunch in a party of 6 last Sunday (9/10/16). We were already booked in and were shown straight to our table in the restaurant area. Unbeknown to us they were three kitchen staff down and had several other bookings waiting to be fed. Consequently there was an interminable wait for our meals.... More

This is reputedly the oldest public house in Much Wenlock, and it shows. It provides a good selection of local and more well known beers and ales, the staff are friendly. The main bar area needs a good refurbishment, this would bring it up to more what the visitor/tourist has come to expect.

This is a great friendly pub with great cheap pub grub. Can't really go wrong here, 2 mains for a tenner, served hot and on time. Nice selection of ales too.
