This is Michelin star territory without the inflated price tag! Not the largest menu but all the better for it; meaning what is on offer will be fresh and cooked with careful attention. The food is to a high standard with a good wine list to match. This is a former village pub that is now a restaurant and small... More

On arrival here, we were met by Ken, busy cooking in his chef whites. He took us to our room and told us to sit anywhere downstairs when we were ready, he would find us with tea. We sat in the main lounge by the roaring log fire, and were presented with a lovely cream tea. Home made scones and... More

Homemade preserve, freshly baked scone, cracking pot of tea and service with a real smile. The surrounding area is very picturesque and the gardens look out onto a stream which is very quaint. Great place to stop and grab a nibble.

The restaurant has a very relaxing and intimate ambiance. The food was first class and was delivered with attentive but not overbearing service. We cant wait to come to the area again and sample this real treat.

Visited last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was excellent, using locally sourced and seasonal produce. Our room was very comfortable with amazing views. At breakfast we enjoyed watching the birds feeding in the garden. The location is stunning and we enjoyed a long walk in beautiful countryside. Isobel and Ken are welcoming and friendly hosts.

Been here three times, each time I have walked here either with my wife or with friends. It has a timeless quality, put in perspective by the thousand year old Offa;s dyke running nearby. The food is amazing, drawing on the rich seam of local produce and passed though the lens of a classically trained French chef. Is like getting... More

We stayed overnight and ate in the restaurant. Ken and Isobel were very welcoming, chatty and friendly, lovely cream tea on arrival - thank you very much. The building is old and homely in a lovely very quiet setting by the river Teme - lots of bird life to keep us entertained at breakfast. The food was delicious, both dinner... More

Nestled in the Shropshire countryside is a half timbered building, the picture of relaxed country living. Luckily for us The Waterdine, just outside of Knighton, is a restaurant and B&B, open to world weary diners who want to experience good food without pretentious surroundings and obsequious service. Rustically charming and comfortably homely, The Waterdine restaurant feels welcoming and restful thanks to burgundy painted walls, knobbly old beams and feature wood burning stoves, not to mention staff who’ll make you feel like one o the family. With an experienced chef in the kitchen the menu, based on local and organic produce as far as is possible, is a modern take on traditional British dining.
