We wanted a quick lunch while in Thame so popped in here. It was market day and was very busy, mostly older clientele. The menu is quite basic but if you want British type food such as jacket potatoes it would suit you. As a vegetarian who likes fairly healthy food I found it quit difficult to find anything I... Unfortunately not great. Needs some changes. Probably a new owner and a full refit. Food was OK service really slow and the chef read the order wrong so had to wait a further 20 minutes.

These people have no idea how to run a coffee shop/ cafe/restaurant. There appears to have been little in the way of training staff in dealing with customers, they are not knowledgeable nor are they easy to attract. The menu was inaccurate, the tea faintly brown water and the plates were cold. They may, I suspect, be quite good at... More

The coffee shop is under new management but remains in an old beamed building with lots of character. The menu is quite varied and very reasonably priced.

My Wife and I like this 1960 Coffee Bar atmosphere. Good service and food. Will go again. Owners very pleasant and for Thame this Coffee House blends in well in this historic Town.

Walked in here this morning, not very busy, sat at table by front door, sat and watched the staff for 10 mins, young lad doing coffee, then bloke did some some, a girl member of staff walked in and did not see her again, an older guy came in, went into food prep area and asked if all ok, the... Such a shame. The new owners seemed to be doing everything right. The service and food were MUCH improved. It was looking VERY promising. NOW, they've gone and installed speakers throughout the place, and there's no place to hide from the racket. Typically, it tends to be 'Heart FM.' Nightclub music, and brainless, celeb-crazed DJ's. The owners and managers need... More

I've been going to Thame for a number of years now on bike rides & at other times and I've watched this place descend to the sorry state it is now. The place was always a bit shabby but the cakes and scones used to be OK. Now its got more and more scruffy and the presentation of the food... More

Food here is good and reasonably priced, staff are friendly. However, this place could be a gold mine and an advantage for the lovely town of Thame, if it had an extensive makeover, and to keep the quaint feeling it has. It is very shabby, especially in the alcove and covered way, the toilets leave much to be desired, they... More

Visited for lunch on a Saturday. They were busy but by no means full. We and other customers (that we could overhear) were told that drinks we'd ordered were unavailable. Cutlery and glasses could not be found. Service was slow and inept. Despite repeated assurances that our order was on it's way it didn't arrive and after 20 minutes we... More
