Needed somewhere to eat for dinner and found this place. Friendly staff who explained the dishes that we weren't sure about and offered to make others that were veggie if we didn't fancy any on the menu. Good portion sizes, especially the chutneys which come on a rotating stand. We had veg balti and veg dansak and both were delicious... More

Intimate surroundings, excellent food although I wasn't planning on an Indian meal tonight I found it was the best Indian meal I have ever eaten. Would Highly recommend. Staff pleasant and friendly.

As you can see I'm a regular reviewer on tripadvisor and this is the first time I'm having to do a terrible review on somewhere I've visited Called and placed a take away order at 2015 earlier tonight and was told 30minutes drove to resturant 8 miles away and was met by a few people stood near door and in... Ate her with my wife and mother recently as our normal Indian restaurant was closed. The Viceroy is OK - nothing wrong really, just feels like your average Indian restaurant serving OK food. Staff were friendly enough, reasonable choice on the menu and the food was fine. So, if you're hungry and you want a decent meal, you'll be happy... More

We visited here while staying in a hotel nearby as it seemed to be the only indian other than a takeaway, was empty when we arrived and was warmly received and shown to our table. Food was served fairly quickly and was nice size portions, the food was very nice and we almost cleared all 3 meals and sides, Overall... More

Used to be very good and our favourite local Indian restaurant. Appears to have changed hands with food not so good as previously, surcharges tucked on the bottom of the menu and no longer providing hot towels at the end of your meal. Small things count against it currently.

This is a nice little Indian restaurant. I actually ordered off the menu and they didn't bat an eye. The service was fast. The food was fresh and tasty. They could cater a little better for thise who don't/can't drink alchhol, but to be far who does? Nice place,

I was taken to this restaurant by friends whilst visiting the area. The restaurant was very pretty, lots of character in this very old building. It was full to bursting, always a good sign. The service was good, the food lovely and hot and very tasty. We all had something different and therefore were able to taste each others. I... More

Having just moved to the area, we were keen to find a new local Asian takeaway. We ordered from The Viceroy and were very glad we did. The rice was fresh and the Madras my partner ordered was perfect. The chef made my Chicken Tikka Massala extra spicy and it tasted amazing. We will definitely be using The Viceroy as... More
