We stayed for three nights and had two restaurant meals as well as breakfasts. The accommodation was comfortable with a king bed and well equipped en suite bathroom. The food was better than average pub restaurant.

We were staying at Brook Lodge, Chad Lakes and asked the owner if there was anywhere close by to get a meal rather than go back into Stow. She recommended the Kings Head and said that several of her other guests had eaten well there. It was only a mile and a half away so perfect! The village was really... More

Didn't want to cook when we got home so we popped into the King's Head for dinner. Good service from a reasonable menu if you like meat. Other half found the choice of fish or vegetarian a bit limited. A couple of nice starters fitted the bill though. Excellent pint of local ale. Friendly welcoming service without being OTT.

Visited here as a group of 13 and found the pub to be great. We were originally supposed to sit inside but as the weather was lovely we were lucky enough to sit outside. The kids enjoyed running about on the huge grassed area. The food was pretty good, not an enormous choice but decent enough. The ice cream hut... More

I booked a table for 9 some weeks ago for a family Birthday and requested the roast to share. The sirloin of beef was cooked to perfection accommodating medium/rare and medium/well tastes and the roasters were amazing, even better than mine! Although I booked for 2pm the bar/restaurant continued to be busy throughout the afternoon but we were well looked... More

Wonderful location in the Cotswolds, with ducks on the brook, this pub offers great food, a warm welcome and great service. They were really accomodating with our little daughter. Very much a pub to go back to.

A beautiful old English pub set by a large village common. Full of atmosphere and charm. Serving a good selection of real ales and even more gins. Pleasant dining room and good food and service.

This pub has good food, not pretentious but honest gastro pub level, great service as well as a lovely setting. The food isn't Michelin level but still very well executed and the prices are fair. It's a real addition to the local pub scene and worth s visit. It gets quite busy so you should book.

Nice setting, tasty food, but such small portions for the price. Quite expensive. I had lamb loins and only had 3 very small mouthfuls and it was gone. My friends duck was cold. Still hungry when we left.

Busy, buzzing Sunday lunch time. Garden area was well filled with drinkers and diners as we went into the restaurant. Restaurant is well laid out and nicely decorated and we were shown to a good table with plenty of space. The menu had something for all. Our food was well presented and generally good, however service was slow (I know... More
