We stopped at the Little Chef to break up our journey. Although it was extremely busy and the staff were rushed off their feet, they were pleasant and welcoming. We had our usual pot of tea and toasted tea cake, and didn't have to wait an age. As usual the place was clean and service satisfactory. We shall come back

No wonder the restaurant had more staff than customers they were very slow and could barely bother to show any joy. We just had a cup of tea and had to listen to a man shouting hello for about five minutes trying to get attention of a member of staff. On the positive very nice cup of tea in what... More

We visited twice whilst staying at the travel lodge and both times found the food and service very good, and prices were also good value for money, the little chef was very clean and the tables were cleared quickly. Food was served in a very polite manner and quickly, would recommened using for meals if staying at the travel lodge... More

Having stopped here at 10.30am today (only two tables occupied) we 'waited to be seated' and were 'shown' to a table by a member of staff pointing to a table from the other side of the restaurant without speaking. We placed our order, eventually, with same member of staff not acknowledging our arrival with a hello, more a somber what... More

Often call here as restaurant is located on my commute home from work. Typical Little Chef, a bit pricey and limited menu. But the staff here are friendly, welcoming and attentive to one's needs, food always well-cooked and nicely presented. Well done to Paulette and the team.

As a travelling businessman and leisure customer I have enjoyed a good many Olympic Breakfasts in my time. For the second time in a fortnight (at a second location) I have just experienced a terrible plate of food. Not inedible but very varied temperatures across the ingredients and bacon and sausage clearly reheated or kept warm for a long time.... More

Ordered to seating in a rude Sargent Major manner. Only one meal arrived, three were missed. Had to wait 15 mins for re order, while one of us had to eat alone in front of us.!!!! When meals arrived, the chips were wrong, had to wait again...!! Burgers were very greasy. !! Did not enjoy at all...!! Will not recommend,... More

The Little Chef is a very British institution and I am sure the team here do a good trade being next to a Travel Lodge that has not catering facilities. Went for 2 days for late breakfast. The menu seems to have take a recent backwards step, all toasties and junky British food now. That's not really a wise move... More

Used this Little Chef twice due to staying at the Travelodge nearby. I was a bit sceptical after reading not so good reviews here about the staff. So 5 of us first time and 7 of us the second experienced breakfasts and thought the place was clean and the staff pleasant, no problem. Food was pretty good for a services... More
