My husband and I went to Lucy's for lunch today and were disappointed. It wasn't that we had a bad meal as such. If this had been our first visit, we would merely have thought the place unremarkable. Having been going there regularly for a number of years, however, we were vexed to note that standards have slipped. We both... More

We used to be regular visitors to Lucy's and always enjoyed our weekend lunches there but on this visit we weren't too impressed. The service was good and the new owners/staff very hospitable and welcoming but the food wasn't as good. The prices have increased slightly and we didn't mind that, what we didn't like was the cutback on the... More

We were recommended this by a friend. And while the home made cakes were good - the best part of the visit was the coffee - wow really full of flavour, no bitterness or after taste. The light airy cafe was a real find, if you are in the area you must try this out.

Warm, friendly atmosphere, with a great range of food and drinks. Food was fresh and reasonably priced. The staff were all wonderful, and communicated amazingly, getting us everything we asked for. The decor was delightful, causing a nice, family friendly environment. We required a gluten free alternative, and the meal we recieved was delicious, the staff were more than happy... More

Pleasant surroundings, always friendly staff and pleasing decor. Light and airy space feeling open and roomy. Prompt service and good value for money. The food was fresh and tasted good although my daughter wasn't as happy with the amount of filling in her panini, which was sparse. However overall the food was fine and the coffee was very good.

This is a great place. Food always good. Great selection on the menu. Staff are friendly. Only down side is, there is no card reader, you need cash.

Mansfield must be one of the most neglected, least visited larger towns of Britain - but it preserves considerable character despite sixties concrete disasters. stopping by on a marathon train journey Inverness-London, the acid test, would it have decent coffee ? apart from the regulation Costa... yes, one of the best ever, just off the old marketplace, almost under the... Went here recently with family members and it was really excellent. I had found it online and it proved a great place to shelter from the weather. The soup of the day (celeriac) was really good.
