Traditional pub

Went for the quiz on a Thursday and returned on the Saturday for some drinks. A nice warm welcome and atmosphere and serves good beer!

Popped in for a beer after lunch. After seeing that they had no real ale, I should have been sensible and left. It was rather quiet for 3:00pm on a Saturday. Instead I tryed a pint of Exibition . It was tasteless . Could only force down half of it. The mine host seemed to have lost the power off... More

Visited over New year and very busy. Pity not as busy during normal days as it had a good atmosphere...

A good honest pub, just 2 doors down from The Bakehouse, the wine and beer were excellent to end our evening. Friendly chatty locals and visitors alike.Lovely coal fire. Well behaved dogs allowed.

This place has seriously gone down the pan since they stopped the food. Full of locals who look at you funny when you walk in so you don't feel very welcome. I will not be returning ever again. They could do with spending some money on this place and improving everything about it because it's shocking.

The landlord was very welcoming and the views over North Sunderland harbour and out to... More

We made a point of looking for this pub, as it had good reviews, but were disappointed when we found it, it a bit of the beaten track, and seems like a locals pub, don't do food any more or show the football.
