Always come here for Sunday lunch when we're in the area. My mum goes every week without fail! Huge servings, plenty of veg, lovely Yorkshire puddings and veg includes mushy peas! Well worth a visit for Sunday lunch, wish we had somewhere half as good back home.

A credit to the staff...we had lots of delays in drinks and service but no wonder they did amazingly well to serve us in the time they did ...if you're in a hurry go mid week ..and if on... More

Sunday lunch was poor, vegetables so undercooked, chips very dry, kept warm for too long I fear.Used to be our local and whilst we always had a longer wait for lunch it was always perfect. Now you literally order and the food is served within 3 mins which I think is a bit of a give away regarding preparation of the... This place is always busy and we chanced a table for 7 as it opened for lunch time. We got stuck in the bar area as we hadn't booked which is grubby and need of a refurb. However, that aside the food is absolute five star - loads of veg, massive Yorkshire puddings - just moorish - portions are huge!... More

Our 3rd or 4th time here within a very short period, relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where the food really is delicious, we normally love sitting outside having our meal. Though this time we decided to stay indoors, with cocktails which were lovely, highly recommended, I had the chicken and ham pie superb, the pastry to die for, very happy enjoyable evening,... More

Sunday lunch is simply the best. Traditional food served piping hot; they never stint on the veggie selections and there's always mushy peas (three cheers!) There's lots more gravy to be had if that's your thing. Generous quality of succulent meats and often a choice of beef, lamb, pork or chicken. Great choice for dessert. Staff are invariable cheerful and... More

Mindy and I thought we would give this place a try on a Thursday evening for dinner as a last minute decision. We had eaten here a few times before and hadn't been too impressed but every time we drive past the place is bursting at the seems especially at the weekends. It seemed like a good idea to give... Just in from Sunday lunch yet another beautiful meal a variety of meats ordered by the company(beef lamb and chicken) all served with plenty of veg. The grandson had chicken nuggets potato wedges and peas which he really enjoyed. A good selection of drinks are available including coffee. We have been here numerous times over quite a few years I... More
