Lunch

Stopped here for lunch over the weekend and was very impressed. The interior is immaculately clean and very well set out. Food was very good for standard pub fayre and is reasonably priced. Recommended

As my titles states the starters we had were lovely I had Haggis Scotch egg and hubby had the carrot soup however the mains were a let down. I had the pork and black pudding pie, the pork was dry and chewy... More

The sandwiches were fine but the scone and cakes were dry and tasteless. A very small portion of jam and cream for two very large dry scones which... More

Dear Guest Once again, can I apologise on behalf of the whole team as certain elements of the day did not meet your expectations. In a subsequent telephone conversation with yourself and due to your hospital operation, I confirmed that you and your family are welcome to use your voucher at a subsequent date, suitable to you. Went here last night for our wedding anniversary the pub was well decorated, clean and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a Burns Night event there last night and although we didn't book for it we could still and here the piper. The food was excellent, good portions and piping hot, service was excellent. Looking at other comments there must be something wrong with the management structure as there is this Jekyll and Hide side with regard to service. Some of my party went back to... More
