Decent fish and chips, decent price, cooked in beef dripping - taste from the past. A treat. Standard chippy menu, also does haggis (I did not try that).

A great place for our traditional food! Very busy , but well worth the wait ! The owner is a friendly character, knows his trade, and prices are very reasonable.

Wow... you will not be dissapointed. Fried in beef dripping a treat. Cooked fresh to order by friendly staff & is really as cheap as chips. There is always a queue but don't let this put you off, local folk are so friendly.

As far as we were concerned, the best chips in the area. Fried to order, served with a smile. This is a place we will return to, when we are in the area.

You will find the chip shop easily in the village from the permanently extended queue out the door as the service is so slow, haphazard and unprofessional .(the owner asked what everyone in the shop wants writes it on a paper bag and then starts cooking)...More

It is a good sign when the locals are queued up waiting for the chippy to open. Large portions of excellent fish and chips cooked to order. My daughter loved the mushy peas. It is a small takeaway shop, so we ate in the car....More

Day out at lindisfarne, followed by fish and chips, with sausages. Freshly fried, really light batter. Great banter whilst we waited.
