Really good home made dishes. Excellently prepared and looked as good as they tasted. We had their pork and apple sausage rolls, steak pies and soup, all excellent. Charge very reasonable . Staff very friendly and helpful.

We visited the Cafe on arrival whilst visiting the Castle and waiting for the main castle rooms to open. Seating at that was was adaquate, the restaurant is definitely not big enough and if seating could be provided elsewhere they would make a fortune. We...More

Sorry don't agree with other reviews!! Expected it to be busy but the tables are too close together and you feel hemmed in with no room to move. Not a comfortable setting. Our food came quickly. My Jacket potato with ample cheese was very nice....More

Lovely coffee here and good choice of gluten free food. Two choices of cake separately stored and covered. Nice addition to the menu as last time it was just sealed packet fodder. As for none gf cake.....the world's your oyster enjoy.

A nice long old fashioned tea room within the castle. Two coffees and cake came to £10.40. They offer a wide variety of food which looked good. Was happy with what we had.

We only had a toasted teacake and coffee. It is surprising how some places can get this simple fare so wrong. Not here at the Castle, it was perfect. Teacakes fresh, coffee good. Ideal for a break mid caste wandering. Well done.

Can't take dogs into the castle so would never get as far as the restaurant or anywhere else.
