We thoroughly recommend The Hogs Head . I was a little sceptical when I saw it was situated out of town and a new style establishment but the rooms were a generous size and spotless, and the staff some of the friendliest we have come across....More

5 star experience. Called in after a trip to the Alnwick Gardens for our early evening meal with 4 children in tow. A lot of choice on the menu for adults and children. Outstanding food, great, service and pleasant and friendly staff. We will definitely...More

Stayed over on special dinner bed and breakfast deal. Got checked in 46 min early as room ready. Lift to 1st floor. Lovely room with shower. Free biscuits always a bonus. Eye masks and ear plugs an unexpected bonus. I presume these are because of...More

The breakfast is very nice. Decent quality of ingredients and well presented. Given that it costs £9 which is ok, it should really include tea / coffee. Having to add on the cost of these makes it (in my opinion) overpriced for what it is....More

As the hotel was located outside Alnwick we chose to use the hotel restaurant for our 3 night stay, the menu choices were acceptable given that they were typically pub/inn type meals. The meals were off reasonable quality, presented well and by friendly staff.

Great setting, shame about the food. We ordered two steak and ale pies which were filled with over cooked rubber gristle a hack saw would struggle with, and cold chips with barley warm gravy and peas. The margarita pizza our son ordered was black around...More

Visited for a works meeting. Great place just off the a1. Very nice open space lay out and it was busy yet not too loud and you didn’t feel like other tablets were really close to you. Ordered plenty of drinks which arrived quickly and...More
