Visited a few days ago with friends as we were in Alnwick for a few nights looking for somewhere to eat, the only place that really felt welcoming was here, even came back an hour later to watch the England match as there was no where else we felt we could stay. Good staff and good food at reasonable prices,... More

We went in here due to the wait of other places such as The Dirty Bottles. Only ones in eating which should have told us something. We ordered 2 baguettes one with BBQ chicken and one ham and cheese. Also a prawn sandwich. The baguette looked like the type that are pre cooked and heated as the bread was so... More

My wife and I arrived in Alnwick and decided to have a casual night out. Well it was a great night. The food was very good. The atmosphere was buzzy, the service was friendly and good. Deserves a visit. We are going again tonight

Lovely well presented reasonably priced food. Either a full menu or great tapas dishes. Dogs are allowed in too.

Wonderful food, comfy seats and lovely ambience- even a noisy crowd cheering on the England game couldn't wreck this gem of a pub for me. I'll be back!

Tried a light lunch on the tapas section of the menu, had potato skins, meat balls and another which were all very good. Good pint of cider from friendly bar maid - Lisa. Excellent light lunch.

My partner and I were away for the weekend and didn't know where to eat. We asked a local where they would recommend and without any hesitation she suggested The Black Swan. Brilliant food with huge portions. The chips are AMAZING!!!!!! Brilliant place, not too badly priced either.

The bar was nice and clean with a wide selection of drinks. The menus was simple with pub classic dishes, the food was well presented and tasted great!! We eat two mains, two sides and two drink which was reasonably priced. So if you're ever in the area I'd say it's a great place to stop and eat. I'll definitely... More

Ate here with friends after a cold day out exploring the coast! The offer of a hot steak and ale pie with spring onion mash was the lure to draw us in to eat and get warm! Lovely traditional pub and we weren't disappointed with the food it was absolutely scrummy! Rich flavoured steak pie with a crisp round of... More
