We called in on the off chance of a table and we're lucky to get a table. The other half ordered beef Sunday Dinner which was lovely. Mine was good except for one fundamental and key thing! All our roasts come with lashings of gravy! Unless your a vegetarian and you get given a sauce that may go with the... More

Friday night, busy pub, large party,an hour and a half waiting for our food with only one drink. We were asked just before we ordered food about drinks and then asked again as the food was brought to the table 90 minutes later. Yes they were busy, yes we were a large party but they knew we were coming cos... More

We had an evening meal here in August. Booking is advisable as it is a very busy restaurant. The car park is very small and there is very limited parking around the pub which can be a problem. The menu is varied. We had two fish dishes and a burger. All meals were hot and very tasty. The Fish and... More

This is our second visit to the Joiners Arms and have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Being bank holiday it was very busy & we expected to have a long wait, but the service was excellent and so was the food. The staff are lovely and made a big fuss of our two dogs. Would definitely return when visiting Northumberland.

It really pains me to leave a negative review as I much prefer to leave positive feedback. Unfortunately our experience was so poor that I feel I must leave this review. We arrived at exactly the time we had booked over a week prior to find the table we had specifically requested empty. We went to sit there but were... More

Absolutely lovely! Pretty little pub in a pretty little village and only minutes from the sea. Decor, food and staff all superb. The fish and chips were divine, huge portions but nice and 'light' with it. Spotlessly clean, excellent service, booking advisable as was very busy - dog friendly too.

Loved the skins and sweet potato fries as a starter. However, my macaroni cheese said 'gratin', and it certainly wasn't that. It was just like a tin of macaroni cheese - inspid and served in a bowl with some green dressing and bread. My husband's food was excellent. Perhaps (as a veggie) I made a bad choice. Pub is dog-friendly... More

Looks like an ordinary village pub, but boy were we wrong. Simply fantastic... From the knowledgeable helpful staff to the most amazing pub grub we've ever tasted. Very comfortable surrounds too. The bedrooms are pretty special too, not what you'd expect at all..... We'll be back!

WE recently ate at the Joiners Arms. It was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. The fish and chips are amazing but huge. I had to wait a good while before I was able to tackle the desert. Knickerbocker Glory with strawberries. Delightful.
