Very average food, prices above average, portions small with way too much tired uninspired salad on the plate. Ambience ok but as others have said, it's more a cafe than a restaurant. Disappointing as we went based on the overall scores on TripAdvisor.

Great restaurant! We ate here last night and found Lilburn's to serve beautiful food with a great ambience and fantastic staff too. Would highly recommend to others as many have recommended to us!

We found this restaurant by accident while having an evening stroll from our hotel. The food was lovely, the service friendly and its got a good atmosphere.

Found this little bistro on a recent visit to Alnwick and we were really pleased we did. Looks really small from the outside, but there are tables upstairs. The food is traditional, fresh and well cooked and the service is great. Would go again.

Great food in a comfy setting. Excellent service and good value. The only slight downside is that it was a little stuffy - still it was a warm day so I guess you can't have everything!

First and foremost, I'd like to say that the food here is great. Sadly, we were there for well over 20 minutes before being served. Another 30 minutes yielded the starter, and 20 minutes after that we had our main course. The Risotto was great though, and the Tagliatelle was also great.

We were told by several people that this was one of the best restaurants in Alnwick, so we booked for an early dinner before attending a showing at the local Playhouse. The restaurant is situated in a relatively small 2 storey location in the centre of town. Service was friendly and the menu looked interesting. Although it quickly filled up... More

Well worth a visit. We wanted to go a second time but were disappointed to find they were closed Sunday and Monday.

Don't order the bake unless you want veggies swimming in a cheese liquid. I didn't send it back as in this must be the chefs interpretation of a bake but definitely not mine or most peoples. A bake must be made out of cheese sauce not runny liquid. I asked the staff to change the description of a bake and... More

Food was ace. My husband has chicken in a tarragon sauce which - if I'd had a bigger appetite that night I would have ordered too. It was truly excellent. I went for the fishcakes ... and the waitress didn't bat an eyelid when I said that's all I wanted (unlike our recent experience in Dronfield). Fishcakes were dead tasty,... More
