Haven't visited Richmond for some time so wasn't sure where to have lunch the Cross view looked inviting decided to give it a try. I would have rated 5 stars for the food and the excellent service but the seating slightly lets it down. There is a lovely menu very varied and the daily specials are amazing, everything is served... Excellent food at sensible prices. Hot and tasty meals and have never been disappointed, whatever I've chosen. Staff are friendly and attentive without breathing down your neck, and every effort is made to make you feel welcome. Really impressed with this place and strongly advise a visit.

We called one Sunday afternoon a couple of weeks ago for an afternoon tea. Sitting outside as we had our dog with us, we were served quickly, efficiently and by a friendly staff member. The Sandwiches were bursting at the crusts with filling and compliments to the chef for the exquisite scones. The best I've ever eaten. Excellent value for... More

Excellent food I had chicken leek sauce, my husband had Sunday roast lamb, and yummy cheese cake to follow plenty of other nice things to choose from,, although had to wait as some big parties in, it was well worth it . Staff all very pleasant and can't do enough for you. Look forward to going back soon

Service good, food all home made, meat locally sourced and the furniture very presentable. Somewhere special to enjoy a meal. Staff very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.

Nice little coffee shop with very good scones. Quick service. We enjoyed the Mad Hatter tea served in a pot with a generous extra pot of hot water. The butter and jam were both in little plastic containers so not homemade jam. Sadly the ambience was spoilt when at 4.15 one of the staff decided to hoover the carpet. Obviously... More

Have eaten here twice now, once for breakfast and once for Sunday lunch. Excellent tea room, no frills or spills just good home cooked food and not expensive! Highly recommend
