Lovely place, fast service, seated immediately. All staff made the effort to talk to us. Good range of food, we did want traditional afternoon tea which wasn't an option but we still had a toastie followed by scones with jam and cream. Reasonably priced and good location.

Called in for a quick bite before visiting Millgate House gardens - seemed a very busy restaurant - had a lovely bacon sandwich & Liz a homemade apple pie - good choice of meals on the menu - definitely worth a meal here

Came across Cross View while visiting Richmond. Both my husband and I had the full English breakfast - it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! The staff and service were excellent - will definitely return.

Firstly I'd echo what Holidaymad60 says about the service in this place. I waited a long, long time to get served and would have left were it not for the predominance of 5-star reviews this place gets. I'd say they were wholly unwarranted. It's average at best. Poor quality of food, bad coffee and dry cakes......in my experience at least.... More

We only wanted tea and cake, which I may add was delicious. Others were enjoying snacks and full meal which all looked delicious.

We often pop into Cross View Tea Rooms and Restaurant conveniently based near the bus stops and parking. Even though it is a popular venue for a tea and a teacake, a coffee and a scone, lunchtimes are always packed too. No wonder! The homemade cooking is healthy, mainly locally sourced, innovative and delicious and English in tradition. The staff... More

My husband and I went in hoping for a cream tea. There were staff at the front of the cafe when we went in, no greeting was given. We sat down at a table and waited and waited and waited but no staff came to us. The staff were all standing at the back of the cafe talking to each... More
