Stopped here 4 lunch. Already knew we just wanted a light lunch as the desserts looked amazing & a must do! Had soup & roll...delicious & huge portion. Still managed a colossal sized slice of treacle tart w custard tho! They were v busy but the service was great & friendly. Very reasonably priced too, esp for the amount of... More

We called in for lunch during a recent visit to Richmond. They were very busy but the waitress managed to find us a table. The café is nicely decorated and the service was efficient despite them being so busy. Unfortunately the tables are very close together so you cant help overhearing other customers conversations and we found the food to... More

Whilst wandering around Richmond (really quaint place) we were looking for somewhere to have a quick lunch and drink. A lady standing outside CrossView said 'It's very nice in there and reasonably priced too' Just what we were looking for. How right she was. Wensleydale, bacon and spring onion jacket potato for me, the same but as a sandwich for... More

We visited this little gem for a quick bite and were surprised how busy the place was. The staff were attentive and polite even though they were young which was really nice. It was great to be able to see the open kitchen which was also very busy. We were however surprised to see the older waitress sitting presumably on... More

The Cross View is always a good place to stop for a snack or cakes. The service is efficient and the staff are friendly. The food has the home made taste. The only problem we encountered was finding an empty table.

Popped in for a well earned breakfast around 10.00 Sunday morning. Hope cooked fresh local produce. Full English with extras, tea n toast added, great service attentive staff relaxed cosy atmosphere, highly recommended this kitty gem of a place can get very busy at times. Table outside if you have dogs

We stopped in Richmond to eat lunch and do some shopping. However it took so long to get our lunch (fish and chips which were average), we didn't have much shopping time. The main WC we.as out of order and we had to climb up steep steps to use an alternative on

We have been to Cross View Tea Rooms and Restaurant many times over the years, because it's just a lovely place to go. Varied menu, good food at reasonable prices, clean tables, pleasant staff and I love thier milky coffee (mug, or cup). This place always seems busy and we wish the new owner great success.
