My sister and I were having a girls day out shopping. We visited the Central Coffee House for lunch in the February half term and were delighted with the quality of the food and the service. I chose broccoli and stilton soup, served with a bacon and cheese scone, whereas my sister chose pate with rustic bread, both of which... More

Friendly small cafe with attentive staff and an interesting varied menu of snacks and light meals. We had coffees and panini ; coffee is pretty strong so ask for only one shot unless you really like it strong; panini was delicious and really well-presented with good accompaniments. The main detraction was that the counters were sticky, chairs covered in crumbs,... More

Enjoyed a great Mocca with Caramel dash, and a brilliant Salted Caramel cake slice. Well cooked and enjoyed in this busy but friendly coffee house. Locals abounded, friends backslapping and chatting but happy to greet a solo visitor. Will enjoy a coffee here again as I visit the area. Easy car parking at roadside reserved area outside.

This is a small cafe so be prepared to have to wait for a seat and to be served if it's busy but it's worth the wait. We called on a busy Saturday afternoon and we're lucky a couple were just leaving so we managed to get a table. Even though the staff were run off there feet they remained... More

Met my niece for lunch last week. We both had paninis. I had a bacon brie and cranberry one. It was beautifully presented on a wooden platter with small dish of homemade coleslaw, small salad and crisps . Would recommend a visit :)

This is a proper little gem of a place. Myself & my husband called in for a late lunch & had sandwiches & scones with tea. Seriously the best coronation chicken I've ever had & the ham & mustard is top notch. The bread they use is so good too. I also wish I could make scones like that. Service... More

Stopped here the other day for a quick cup of tea which didn't disappoint. Sociable cafe, which is obviously popular with locals of all ages. As it's towards the northern end of Northallerton, beyond the main market place, it was easy to park - get a ticket for free half hour parking. Will stop again.

Quality of customer service and food remains as high as ever. A little gem of a place! Range of hot/cold light bites, good coffee, scrummy cakes and bakes - generally great quality care with customers and food.

We called in for a quick coffee but after seeing the menu decided that we would share a sandwich. The ladies working there were very welcoming and friendly. The service was quick. Our Americano coffees were tasty and the small biscuit was delicious. Our sandwich was a panini with chicken, chorizo and sweet chilli sauce. Delicious and filling. It was... More

Small but perfectly formed. Called for a sandwich but too late, not sure why it was too late as sandwiches are not that difficult to prepare but stayed as desperate for a cuppa and had a scone instead. Good service and the scone was fine. Pleasant atmosphere.
