I love Bettys and the tea room in Northallerton is never as busy as York so always a joy to not have to queue. We were a group of 3 children and 2 adults and on this occasion we just had drinks and fat rascals and cinnamon toast. It all tasted delicious and lovely presentation and service. My tea was... Great service and lovely interior but the cakes were a little small and flavours could have been better, would somehow expect a little more considering their reputation.

We were a party of six. Northallerton was my old stomping ground when I was working at the Council offices and I knew Betty's of old. My London based sister-in-law had never been so myself and my little boy, husband, dad and brother all made the trip to show her just what she had been missing. Oh dear. The first... More

The classic English Tearoom. Beautiful surroundings, lovely food and exemplary service. The afternoon tea seems small but is very satisfying . The Swiss rosti is also a favourite

We got a voucher off some friends for Betty's, so we went for lunch. There was a queue as usual but we didn't have to wait long. We had lunch, I had Eggs Benedict and Andrew had Rosti with Raclette cheese and bacon. My poached eggs were done to perfection and Andrew's meal was very tasty he said. His portion... More

Great staff, good food and drink (appreciated the white and green teas) felt like an occasion - great fun on cold and winters day!

It's like stepping back to an elegant past with an air of calm surrounding you as you enter. Beautifully presented cake trolley was brought to the table and each variety was described to us by a member of staff. All extremely tempting and exquisite. We both settled for our old fashioned favourite, cream slice which was served with a lIttle... More

I would usually call into a pub for lunch but after walking around the market on a cold January day my wife fancied Betty's . I had looked in the window when we walked passed earlier in the day & had spotted a Fat Rascal Scone so when we were seated after about a ten minute wait I ordered a... More

Great coffee and delicious lunch with family. Service was very good and staff attentive and friendly. It's not cheap but it's a lovely treat. And we all enjoyed ourselves? Well done.
