This pub has a long fascinating history which most customers are intrigued to discover due to the authentic interior. Only stopped for a half pint but we very much enjoyed ourselves.

There are some pubs that spend a great deal of time and money trying to make their decor look olde-worlde. The Green Dragon appears to be the real deal. A very old coaching inn with irregular shaped rooms that meander up and down. The two...More

What a lovely, historic place the Green Dragon Inn, in Hardraw, is! The owners have done a great job of maintaining the old architecture and features such as the iron stove. And a cheerful fire was burning in the hearth, because it was, after all,...More

Lots of stone walls make it feel that you are in a castle rather than a pub. It really takes you back in time. Seating out the front and at the back for when the weather is nice and open fires for when it’s cooler....More

This really is everything you would expect from an old country coaching Inn. Five well kept real ales , two of which cone from a brewery at Askrigg (only 6 miles away). The building is packed with original feature and oozes character.

We stayed here for a night, the accommodation was lovely, modern bathroom, big duvets on our twin beds, good breakfast. We ate at the pub, the ploughman’s and vegetable lasagna with garlic bread was delicious. There was a band on in the pub, everyone was...More

Been here before in 2011. Had a nice meal and pub is so old and interesting and a lovely place to come in summer or winter. We then went to see the waterfall which is amazing. We had The Ploughman's Lunch and Burgers very nice.

Well worth calling in after you have seen Hardraw Force. Two very old sitting rooms with interesting fire grates.

Possibly the worst Sunday lunch I've every had. Inedible beef, it was worse than a TV dinner and not cheap. Foul mouthed customers. Unsuitable for families due to the colourful language from its regulars.a few came in and walked out without ordering. Called at the...More

I don’t really know for sure but there is a little local community bus service which I think you may be able to ring and book. It’s about 20-30 min walk to Hawes if not.
