We were the only people in here and ordered food which came quickly and was really nice, they have had problems with travellers staying close by which had apparently affected their trade, hence why it was so quiet. Good pub grub and would visit again.

Our family called in without prior booking and easily found a table, as the place is quite big. The Dotterel is very clean and tidy and the lady behind the bar was very pleasant. She took our order for drinks and meals, of which although we chose several different selections, all were available. We had arrived at the Dotterel at... More

The food was dreadful. Frozen prawns cold potatoes and vegetables, very fatty belly pork.. 16 people and every meal was poor! Ugh!!!! Rude staff except for young girl serving food. She did her best under very poor conditions.

This food at this pub is excellent, proper home cooked food. The food is plentiful and reasonably priced. The landlord/barman is one of the most miserable people I have ever met, obviously needs to go to charm school.

Came across this pub on our way back to Cayton Bay Holiday Park after a visit to Bridlington. Dropped in for an early evening meal and they had a daily roast dinner. It was a real plate full and very tasty at a very, very reasonable price. The staff were nice and friendly and the meals were well served mainly... More
