We don't live far away from Filey but like to visit from time to time as its much quieter than Scarborough. We visited last week and went into The Lighthouse and had tea and a scone with jam and cream. The cost for both of us was just under £8. The tea was hot and plentiful and the scone delicious... Nice freindly tea room in filey, searched for the lighthouse after looking at reviews on here and the advertised afternoon tea! Really good for me as they have afternoon tea for 1 (as my husband does not eat cake for some bizar reason and is never interested in afternoon tea for 2). The cheese sandwiches had a good amount of... More

Paid a visit for afternoon tea and were greeted by friendly staff. Ordered afternoon tea of a pot of tea scones jam and clotted cream. One of the creams had to be replaced but this was done without query and friendly. This was a good experience and a good cost

Called here again with my wife on Saturday 13/8. Once again we were met with a young waitress who is so pleasant and friendly. My wife had the bacon baguette and I went for the Welsh Rarebit. All I can say is that both meals were really nice. The owner goes out of his way to speak with his customers... More

My friend and I had a light lunch here after walking out of another café without eating there! We were greeted in a friendly way and our order was taken quickly. My roast ham sandwich was delicious, as was my friend's scrambled egg with smoked salmon (after they added the forgotten smoked salmon!!). Don't expect gourmet cuisine here - it... More

Visited today based based on TripAdvisor reviews - I'm always sceptical when a place has such good reviews but this tea room warrants it. We called in for a mid-afternoon meal and were really impressed with the service, the quality/price of the food and the general cleanliness of the place. As soon as we walked in, the owner was welcoming,... More

This is a lovely little tea room with photos of lighthouses around the room (taken by the owner I think). It's very friendly, good service and I've had lunch and coffee there a few times now and enjoyed it every time

We stumbled upon this lovely teashop by accident sheltering from the summer rain! Ordered lunch for 2 adults and 2 children delighted that our request to change the order for our fussy 5 year old was accommodated. Lovely food well presented in a genuine English teashop. Would recommend this teashop as a must to visit in Filey.
