We visited this pub on bank holiday weekend. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. Big portions and high quality. The wine was also very nice. We will be back.

We took advantage of their lunch offer is sandwich coffee and cake for £7.95. Lovely fresh bread, good coffee and yummy cheesecake. The owner landlady was incredibly welcoming and service was excellent! Highly recommended as a stop off a64 near York 😊

Guesstimate would be about 35 minutes but in truth I can't recollect a suitable route bearing in mind you are on a busy dual carriageway. Not even sure if a footpath alongside the road.
