We were staying nearby and took the opportunity to visit. We chose to sit inside and have a piece of fruit slice and cheese and a soft and hot drink. Service was good and the humour 'unique'. We stayed around fifty minutes and found the...tea room to be quietly and steadily busy.More

Stopped on the off chance on the way back home from a day out. Wow … I think this may have been the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve eaten!! Lovely little tea room, friendly owners and delicious food. Thank you 5*

What an amazing place, great food and the best service. We didn’t catch the gentleman’s name (sorry!) but the attention to detail and witty humour he purveyed was brilliant! He had us laughing the whole way through our visit, we would 100% recommend and will...be attending again when we can! (PS, yes that was us running past later on today when you were wondering why we were waving at you!)More

Our friends have been frequent visitors and Steve knew exactly what they would be having......that's called "service'........with a great sense of...humour. We will be back W and 'Peter'!More

The food is exceptional, the owner is entertaining with his dry humour (not to be taken seriously) and the fact that the locals eat there just confirms the quality, or the lack of alternatives in the immediate area! Do NOT ask for the apple pie,...thats just for me.More

Out for a walk, we just dropped in for coffee and cakes, but were lucky to get a table - worth booking ahead. Most COVID-secure cafe we’ve been in recently. Service very friendly and efficient and the cakes are fabulous! Very popular understandably.

Really enjoyed our visit to this cafe. The owner has a particular dry sense of humour which we quite enjoyed, put a smile on our face and made us feel at home. The food was good and the cake tasty, very reasonably price. Would happily...return.More

Stopped here for afternoon tea and more more importantly cake! However we were tempted by the puddings - sticky toffee pudding and apple both with ice cream. Huge portions and a decent cafetière of coffee ( yes not tea). Warmly welcomed and good to see...COVID security a priority. Waitress was charming and efficient. Located in Aysgarth Village where it is quieter than the area near the falls. Close by is a lovely Victorian rock garden - so cute.More

Travelling from the Lakes to York, we were looking for coffee and cake around 3.30pm and luckjiy found Hamilton's still open for just that. Lovely cup of tea and the Rhubarb and Custard Crumble Pie was superb! Friendly and humorous chat included :-)
