Walked from Whitton to here along the ridge then returned by the Rspb reserve/Humber bank. Had a bacon butty ... fine ... tasty. Many walkers here. A great place to break up your walk. The walk had super views towards the confluence of the Ouse/Trent. Geese galore... all types. Egrets a aplenty. A lovely area with quaint/rustic villages.

After our walk it was lovely to just walk across into Alkborough turn right and there was The Paddocks Tea Room. Lovely pot of tea and sausage bun, followed by choc/guiness cake, good job we did a walk back to Burton-on-Stather. Food lovely, staff friendly, will certainly go back again

I stopped here for lunch as part of a group of 17 cyclists, 60 miles into a long ride. The food and drinks were excellent - despite there being a lot of us and the cafe being rightly busy, everything was served quickly and made from scratch. There was loads of space to sit both indoors and out in the... More

Called in here with a friend for a quick stop off whilst cycling, the staff were really friendly, service was quick and the cake we had was to die for. Will definitely visit again.

Called in for lunch, good menu selection of light bites, sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes, salads etc, but the star of the Tea Room is the cakes, they are yummy.

Wonderful home made food served by - in the main - lovely friendly staff. Don't fail to read the sign on the door though or you may feel the sharp side of one particular member of staff's tongue!

Called in for tea and scones towards the end of a long walk. Both were delicious. We appreciated the number of tables and chairs outside with lots of dog water bowls available. I was particularly impressed when I reported that someone had left their dog in the car (it was a hot day) that they responded immediately.
