The Pub itself cant be faulted....However it has to be said that the overall experience was totally spoilt by the extremely sullen bar maid that was on duty! NOT a person to have in ANY form of customer facing role........Certainly wont help to develop the trade!

The pub is in the latest CAMRA guide and had 3 cast beers on tap the evening I visited. There's plenty of good food to choose from on the menu. The haddock was as big as I've ever seen. Try a dessert if you've still got room.

Always go there for Sunday buffet and am amased at how much some people pile on their plates. For under £10 a head I doubt they can be beaten. The staff are friendly and the hosts make you feel welcome. We will return again and again.

Had three courses of home cooked food, bbq chicken was obviously not pre prepared, lamb coriander was enough to feed two with all the veg etc. Very full, very happy.

We went for our Sunday dinner yesterday and were so impressed with this cosy, country pub. The staff were welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. We had a short wait before we were called through for our meal. They do this because the dining room is quite small and it saves having queues at the carvery. The... More
