We were amazed when we drove in the car park on a Monday night. It was packed which speaks volumes. The Trawlerman is famous for its carvery and it did not disappoint. We had beef and gammon. Just looking at the joints as they were carved in front of us was mouth watering. The beef was tender and tasty and... More

Just the standard carvery nothing standing out nothing massive. Just average. Found the beef extremely dry and the gammon fatty but other than that it was okay.

we visited here on sunday and had a very good meal. the portions of meat are generous and the choice of vegetables good. the only complaint was that we had a bottle of white wine and it was slightly warm, we had to ask for an ice bucket , it would have been nice to have been offered it first.... An excellent carvery, one of the best I have been to. Very reasonably priced and the food was hot and plenty of it. It was very busy for a Monday evening but the staff were all polite and helpful. The staff worked really hard to clear tables quickly and not just a quick wipe over either. The table next to... More

A large, airy carvery restaurant with outdoor seating too. The food is consistently excellent - and the beef is the best I've ever tasted. Friendly staff and great prices add to an excellent eating experience.

My wife and I go every couple of weeks with friends and even though I am not the biggest fan of carveries this is a good one.The meat is usually excellent and there are more than enough vegetables to choose from and because they are busy the carvery is refreshed regularly.Check on the wine offer, usually a Hardy's Shiraz for£8 and...
