A nice pub in a lovely location, especially on a warm summers evening. Not a bad choice of beers and good service, foods ok, but nothing exceptional. Good for families.

Another fab meal here at this quaint little English Pub, set amongst the fields and hills, I had traditional fish chips and mushy peas, cooked to perfection not greasy as some places are, nice chunky chips and peas, the lamb shanks were a delight falling off the bone, not much left when he had finished. Oven baked sea bass with... More

This is my favourite place time eat. The food is out of this world it is always excellent and extremely good service. It is a family run business. The landlord makes his own wonderful ice cream that is beautiful. Definitely worth a visit you won't be disappointed

Excellent food and service. If the soup of the day is French onion, choose it! It's always good indication that the food is fresh and home made when you can see the vanilla seeds in the ice cream. Haven't been for a while, but will do soon.

Heard about this place through a friend and decided to give it a try. Good selection of dishes on the menu and a few fish specials on specials board. Had the fish combo (battered cod and scampi) with chips and mushy peas. My wife had the gammon egg and chips. The portions were huge and really tasty, my wife's gammon... More

We went for a family lunch recently, on arrival we were made to feel welcome, it was a bit quite but had only just opened. The food was very nice, two of us had fish and chips, one gammon and one trio of sausages, we didn't have too long to wait despite the private party that was booked in, (who... More

We ate here about 4 time's a year and extras for ceremonial meets. Nearly always had soup and steak and all pie main deal which was £10, along with my partner and daughter. Today we found the menu had changed and the steak and ale pie has been removed from it and replaced with meat and potato plate pie. The... More

I've eaten here a few times at lunch with my sons, decided to try dinner (or 'tea' if you prefer, as I do) with the missus. I rarely order a steak when I eat out as it can be touch and go. But I fancied one and took a punt. It was frankly perfect. A decent piece of meat seasoned... More
