This was a small group booking by mainly first time guests.. All were astonished at the quality of the local food and the inclusion of a starter in the price. Beef, lamb, half a chicken(!) and salmon were enjoyed. Yorkshire pud with all the meat courses. Veg was served separately, roast and crushed potato, carrots/peas and buttered swede. All ages... However, on the second visit (the night before we left for home) I left my camera under the chair where we had been sitting. The first I knew of this is when... More

very friendly host, good choice of food and large portions, more likely to be served in a top restaurant not a country pub, people are known to travel quite a distance to eat there

Excellent service, great atmosphere , food to die for. Staff are always very pleasant and chatty. Rachel and Stephen should be very proud of what they have achieved over the years. We have visited often over the last seven years and have enjoyed the food every time. Well done once again gang and thank you for your hospitality.
