This family owned pub/restaurant is a jewel in the crown of the Ribble Valley. Rachael and Steve provide a lovely warm welcome with good old fashioned home cooking which never fails to satisfy. You will never go home hungry from the Buck Country Pub.

Awful food. After seeing the Facebook page and video of the food I booked a table for 2 on Monday evening. On arrival staff very friendly, we were given hand written menus, we ordered our food. The food reminded me of school dinners, lumpy mash and swede, the side dish to accompany the lamb shank was deep fried cauliflower! Not... More

We were staying at a holiday cottage across the road so this was a natural choice. We were made so welcome by all the staff - the customer service was excellent. We suspected the portions were huge so just went for mains. We all loved our food which was top quality. Very reasonably priced. Thanks for a lovely evening, all.

We have just spent a week at Paythorne visiting family in Skipton and walking in the beautiful surrounding country side. We ate at the Buck 3 times during last week and I must say that Rachel and the team made us feel most welcome. There was no issue with our rather large (well behaved dog) and the Children were very... More

After a long day walking in Settle with our 8 and 5 year old, we spotted a sign off the main road and decided to drive up as we had a long drive home and were all hungry. We were a bit unsure if we would get a table, as it was tea time, and a Sunday, my husband nipped... More

What a wonderful experience. We popped in on spec yesterday for Sunday lunch. Amazingly friendly welcome at the bar and the team had a table sorted for us immediately. The set lunch was great, one of us had lamb and the other chicken.Superbly cooked and served with lovely fresh vegetables. The blackberry mess pudding was delicious and the whole meal... More

We visited this Pub and were greeted with a friendly smile. The food was lovely and the portion sizes were AMAZING!!! 2 Pork chops, 3 pieces of Black pudding and all the chips and veg you could wish for. Would definitely recommend a visit!
