Called in for lunch, ordered Tia fish cakes, poor, tasteless, probably warmed in microwave, not crispy like I expected. Pie and chips ordered by my partner , poor, tasteless , never going again

Booked a dinner table for 6.30. Got there at 6.35 and had to wait a few minutes as the table wasn't ready. They are trialling a carvery - tremendous value at £6.95. Turkey and/or beef with as much as you like of all the trimmings, but even at this early time some of he veg was in short supply. Breakfast... More

We had a Saturday evening meal in this restaurant whilst staying in the adjacent Premier Inn. I very much enjoyed my grilled chicken and bacon salad and the profiteroles were delicious. Great value too.

ate here twice for breakfasts and two evening meals as we were staying at the premier inn across the road. Evening meals were of very good quality, obviously cooked to order and piping hot. Breakfasts were equally as good, waitress service on Saturday and help yourself on Sunday. You can order as man rashers of bacon/sausage/eggs/black pudding/mushrooms etc as you... More

The food is at a decent standard but nothing outstanding! The service is good and there is a play area for children and a children's menu which is great value for money!

Having not been here in a while, we thought we would try it. Our experience at the bar was bad, the women on wasn't looking in our direction at all, she kept serving people who came after us, until another member of staff came as she noticed we had been kept waiting. We were then seated quickly and ordered food.... More

Asked for steak rare and it had absolutely no pink in it. Pro - The staff are lovely ! standard family pub with below average food. However the kids love it as you can't go wrong with burgers and nuggets. Good for larger families on a budget, not somewhere you go to pay a bit extra for quality food.
