Popped in for a quick lunch whilst shopping in Burnley. Service was quick but friendly and the food was hot, tasty and plentiful. Two of us had lunch and a drink for just over £10.

Had mixed grill, the steak, chicken, sausages and gammon were all nicely cooked and tasty. My wife had burger and very small portion of chips. Two other couples on tables next to us complained about portion sizes

Had a burger and chose curly fries. When it came their gave me chips instead and were cold! The burger was bland too. Been here many times and you get what you psy for but think its changed hands again and was the worse meal I've had out of all the meals I've had there over the years.

Visited a couple of times, food has always been ok, nothing special but you can't expect too much when the prices are low. The place is not very big so if it is a large party I would definitely recommend booking beforehand. If you are looking for a family friendly environment and a cheap no frills meal, then its worth... We thought the food was not up to the standard described in the reviews. Bar staff seemed to disappear for long periods and the doors were not open when we tried to get a breakfast so we left.

Went to this pub 3 times in successive days - you shouldn't have to shout for bar staff (unanswered) to get served - this happened on the second visit. The food was good, basic steak and chips but appetising - not cheap but there were some beers and shorts with appealing special offers. On the third day we arrived after... More

I have been twice but this time I couldn't stay for long, the pub was FULL of footy fans (it was match day and Burnley got promotion so it was fair) so we couldn't have a nice meal. Last time I went the food was nominal, cheap and what you'd expect. It is not exactly a bad pub and it... More

Mother's Day eve and lost in (we think!) Burnley and looking for somewhere warm and friendly, we were lucky and came across this delightful local hostelry. We have never visited a "sizzling pub" before and were very pleasantly surprised, not just by the very warm and friendly service by the staff, but the locals also eating there. My better half...
