Nice but small, football was on which meant it was packed. Good selection of german beers but the real star I the schnitzel which is cooked to perfection and has the most delicious sauce with it. It's a very large portion! I couldn't finish it.

We had visited The Ship Centurion before and decided to pay another visit and see if it had changed. it hadn't at all, which was good. It was full of locals on Saturday night who were watching football, so it was a lively atmosphere and well worth a visit even on a quieter night. Recommended Foxyfox10

Stopped here for lunch, and was great they accepted a dog. Menu was pretty limited but we all found something. The food was all freshly cooked and was very nice, also well presented. Reason I didn't give it 5*'s was we couldn't pay by card, it was cash only.

This is a pretty pub on a seafront location. There are tables inside and out with sea views, which is lovely on a summers evening. The pub serves food but on this occasion we didn't eat but me and my friends shared a jug of Pimms £14.

Called the SC to check if the football was on and if food was available, spoke to a very helpful and friendly lady, when we arrived we were welcomed as if we were locals, fantastic beer choices all very reasonably priced and of great kept standard. We ate off of the regular menu all 4 of us choosing differently, all... More

This is a proper pub with good beer and now a better selection of wines., Don't expect gourmet food but the sausages are very good and excellent value.

I was made to feel very welcome the first time I visited this pub. The staff are lovely and there is a large selection of beers and ales. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town.

If you want a recommendation for a pub in Whitstable that has a good variety of changing beers, lovely authentic German food, and welcoming staff, The Ship Centurion is hard to beat. It is not often you find a pub with: great beer; friendly staff; tasty food and that also has a relaxed ambience that makes you want to smile.... More
