The staff were fabulous; friendly and attentive. The food was excellent as they kept it simple and made sure that everything they produced was exquisite. I had pork belly, which was crispy, yet succulent. The cumin and apricot jus was surprisingly delicious, as this combination really worked. Fresh Kent potatoes with parsley and butter were just as they should be.... More

This pleasant restaurant bucked the tend in Whitstable, it was open on a Monday. There was a wide choice, the food was expertly cooked, the staff were helpful and pleasant and other guests all friendly. A nice place to dine.

This was recommended and I could see why. Lovely setting and very friendly staff and very good quality food. Drinks reasonable prices but all in all for a 3 course meal with drinks it would be around £40 per head but worth it. There is limited street parking near by.

Found it disappointingly average. Maybe made the wrong choices. Kedgeree certainly not great prefer the traditional recipe myself. This was just fish on top of spring onion rice with a spicy side.

Stopped by because the look and feel of the interiors and menu looked great and we had really one of the best brunches ever. Lovely service, delicious food, a blackboard of local suppliers which the cooks turned into loveliness. The dinner menu looks tantalising too.

Not being from the area, Samphire was an excellent choice for lunch. We were welcomed from the beginning, the staff were friendly and very helpful. I had the mussels and as the other reviews say, they were excellent! I'm always a bit dubious ordering mussels but I trusted the fellow reviewers and I'm glad I did. My partner had the... More

We discovered this when we couldn't get into Wheelers. I like the chalk name (to reserve your booking) on the old pine tables. This restaurant has a rustic, seafaring charm. The starters are great (and often include samphire - delicious) The main courses are just about enough to keep you full. But anyway we enjoy the abience and recommend booking... More

We first visited this restaurant about a year ago, by chance. We had the most excellent sunday lunch, so memorable in fact that we decided we would return. Which we did last week, OK we left it a long time. Well things change over a year. The meal was still very good but there is a new chef of a... More
