Samphire is a splendid, if somewhat cramped, bistro in the heart of Whitstable. The menu is fairly standard, but the cooking is great and the ingredients are obviously fresh. Three courses with wine will set you back in the region of £100, but it's worth...More

We were recommended this restaurant so thought we’d give it a try. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We had the bread to start and then mains and shared a dessert. Really friendly staff, good value for money....More

Five of us visited here and had a range of dishes (meat, fish, veggie). All were very good. The (local) wine was excellent too. Really nice atmosphere and all reasonably priced.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant and you do need to book even midweek. Great fish, I am told, and I had beef short rib which probably could have been cooked a little longer. Puddings excellent.

Good food, excellent service and a well-round menu. A small venue so booking probably best advised at busy times.

Three of us had a scrumptious meal. Our waitress was cautiously opening a bottle of Prosecco for the first time which we loved. We were served very quick with no delays. We all had different food choices for main & dessert. We shared each other's...More
